  2. Don’t drink fruit juices, if you want a fruit juice just eat that fruit.  Your body does not process juice the same way it processes the fruit itself and you don’t get all the fiber benefit.
  3. Have a salad for lunch.  You can get creative with salads and try to avoid the temptation of including meat on it.  This will help you in many ways to lower your total calorie intake for the day and increasing your amount of good greens from the salad.  Try to use good leafy greens and not just plain old leaf lettuce.
  4. Have a snack a couple hours after lunch of some nuts of some kind.  I really like almonds personally but any kind of nuts are packed with protein and fiber and lots of nutrients and minerals that your body needs.  They are also high in the good fats your body needs to burn fat from your body and give you energy.
